Mr. McDowell joined CHM Partners in 1996, where he has conducted searches for Board and senior management positions in life sciences, professional and financial services, manufacturing, higher education and not-for-profit organizations. He has consulted with clients on a wide variety of leadership, Board and management development issues and has worked extensively with family owned and closely held companies. Mr. McDowell joined CHM after 22 years in human resource management with Coopers & Lybrand, LLP, an international professional services firm. As a senior partner in the firm, he was national director of human resources and the U.S. member of the International Human Resources Committee. He served in human resources and financial management positions in New York, Chicago, Phoenix, and Philadelphia, and as chief of staff to the chairman. Mr. McDowell received his B.A. from Juniata College (Huntingdon, PA) and his M.A. with honors, from the University of Maryland, College Park. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, and on the Board of Trustees of Juniata College, and is a former board member and current member of the Endowment Committee of the Madison (NJ) Area YMCA.
